In case of traditional “facelift”: “it simply tightens the skin”, however, there are two significant concerns with this basic approach: The main
concern of common facelifts are “windswept’ appearance and stress along the incision line that can lead to widened scars. Without properly
changing the underlying structures beneath the surface, the skin quickly stretches and can lead to a quicker return of the wrinkles and the
appearance of loose tissues under the chin, lessening the longevity and impact of the original facelift. There are other facelift techniques
which rely on sutures to gather or pleat the SMAS tissues to create tightening. These techniques are somewhat less invasive, and can work
well on the right patient. However, on the wrong patient, using only sutures to tighten the deeper tissues to lift the sagging skin, it is often
temporary because the sutures will either disintegrate or pull through the tissues over time. If the underlying structure isn’t re-contoured, the
memory of the tissues tends to cause a rapid return of the aging skin.

Surgical Procedure for VIEW Facelift
  • STEP 1

    After designing the part to be lifted, cut along the front and back of the ear from the head.

  • STEP 2

    Peel the skin layer across the entire width of the face with an incision in the downward direction, then peel back the SMAS (thin muscle path covering the entire surface of the skin). The SMAS layer is pulled and fixed in a new position.

  • STEP 3

    Remove the remaining skin tissue and suture the incision site.
